(SAVANNAH, GA) The Coastal Catering Alliance in conjunction with The New South Café is excited to participate in the seventh annual Red Cross Gourmet Soiree Black Tie Gala on May 1st at the DeSoto Hilton beginning at 7:00 pm. The money raised through this event will go to the Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross local disaster relief fund. Chef Matthew Cohen, founder of the Coastal Catering Alliance and owner of The New South Cafe, is launching his second annual Cooking for Charity series in 2008, which will include special appearances at charitable events throughout Savannah as Chef Matt donates his time and talent to directly benefit the many worthy, local causes in the area.
