SAVANNAH'S GREAT AMERICAN BAKE SALE

Again this year I am participating in Share our Strength's Great American Bake Sale, an exciting and fun campaign to help fight childhood hunger in America. The proceeds raised will directly benefit childhood hunger programs in our region.

The statistics of childhood hunger are saddening. Did you know that every fourth person in a soup kitchen line is a child? Or that one in every six American children live in homes at risk of hunger?

This Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, April 12th between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Ace Hardware parking lot on Johnny Mercer Boulevard (Wilmington Island). There will be lots of fresh, homemeade goodies baked and donated by local families, bakeries, and even some local celebrities!! This is going to be so much fun!

This year's fundraising goal is $10,000.00 for this cause. But, besides donations there are soo many ways to help out. If you would like to volunteer your time or services to help bake, organize or sell, please contact me at the above number or by e-mail. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
