*About the Speaker:* This month's guest speaker is Doug Winters. He is a technology development and management professional who has successfully completed projects for a wide variety of governmental, public and private sector clients. He has served in multiple roles for clients such as Kodak, Gulfstream, Disney, Coca-Cola, just to name a few. As a published contributor to the project management community, Mr. Winters can be found teaching beginning and advanced scheduling with Microsoft Project. One of his real passions is preparing the managers of tomorrow by teaching Project Management at AASU.
*About the Presentation:* In his presentation, Mr. Winters will explain and discuss concrete project management techniques to create a workable schedule with the goal of avoiding the worst case scenario – initiating the emergency mode. Timelines can be created and then managed taking advantage of early warning signs of trouble. The inevitable "change" that happens to a project can be harnessed to work for us rather than against us. Techniques such as "critical path analysis" can be easily deployed to take back control of our schedule.
*This series is open to all entrepreneurs, small businesses and interested parties, so feel free to forward this announcement and invite your friends and colleagues.*
